La Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC) otorgó una nueva patente a UNIMINUTO, reafirmando su liderazgo en innovación y sostenibilidad.
La Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios (UNIMINUTO) continúa su apuesta por la investigación con la obtención de una nueva patente de invención. Este logro consolida su compromiso con el avance tecnológico y la seguridad laboral.
🛠️ Un dispositivo para mejorar la seguridad en entornos laborales
El «Dispositivo para recuperación de solventes orgánicos» es un desarrollo innovador liderado por:
🔹 Pedro Camilo Checa Cundar – Docente del Programa de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo.
🔹 Doraly García Muñoz – Estudiante del Centro Universitario Mocoa, Rectoría Centro Sur.
💡 ¿Por qué es necesario este dispositivo?
En talleres mecánicos, el manejo inadecuado de gasolina, aceites y grasa puede generar accidentes graves como quemaduras e incendios. Ante esta problemática, el equipo de investigación de UNIMINUTO diseñó un sistema seguro y eficiente para la purificación y reutilización de solventes orgánicos.
🛡️ ¿Cómo funciona?
✅ Construcción en doble capa de acero inoxidable para evitar fugas y accidentes.
✅ Pozuelo de lavado donde se limpian piezas mecánicas.
✅ Transferencia segura del líquido a un tanque hermético, evitando derrames y evaporación.
✅ Filtración y destilación para recuperar el solvente purificado y reutilizarlo.
📢 “Analizamos que en el Putumayo se dieron accidentes en talleres por el mal manejo de solventes inflamables. Diseñamos este dispositivo para almacenar y recuperar solventes con condiciones de seguridad más estrictas”, explicó el profesor Pedro Checa.
